3 Lights of Death on my Xbox360 console

Yep! The 3 lights finally happened to me. There are only a couple of choices on how to handle this problem. At first I thought of shipping the console to microsoft to have it fixed. THis means paying shipping and boxing and taking the box to the shipper. Then waiting! Not a very appealing choice for me.

I immediately went to a local pawn dealer and picked up another, “temporary” system. Popped off my hard drive and put in on the pawn shop machine and viola, we are playing again.

Now, I’m faced with getting our first machine fixed. We are excited about this because then we will have two (actually 3 with the original xbox we still have in service) systems to used in different parts of the house.

I have decided to order the instructions to fix the xbox ourselves. Basically, they say I can do it myself in about an hour. Here’ the link to the instructions I’m going to use.

Which is the best video game rental service for my situation: Online or In-Store?

I want to rent xbox 360 games. I am currently renting games occasionally from blockbuster which costs after tax around $8.00 to rent a 360 game for 5 days which i think is a rip off. BUT when I look at the online rental services such as Gamefly for $15 a month I get 1 game out at a time but I don’t know if i can come up with the cash every month for that. SO my main question is which is better online or rental AND if you say online rental is better which sites would you reccommend and why?
I WOULD ONLY PLAY WITH ONE GAME AT A TIME AND USUALLY TAKE IT BACK TO THE STORE OR BUY IT IF I REALLY LIKE IT.

i say go online rental. if you did gamefly (which i recommend) it has a vaster selection and availability. 15 for a month for game fly get four games go to blockbuster 16 for 2 games… even if you rent just 2 games a month your still saving money compared to blockbuster

Anyone know an online game rental place BESIDES GAMEFLY?

I currently use GameFly and they take way to long to receive and send another game. I sent a game on a Monday and they sent the new game out on Saturday.I don’t think it should take a week for GameFly to receive the game and then send another out a full week later. I could see if it took a week if they received it, sent it out and then i receive it.
Ok well it is GameFly because i sent the game out monday..On Wed gamefly said they have received my game.So why did it take until saturday for them to send the next one out? It frustrates me and dealing with them the past months i now see how they make their money. They take extra long to send games so your not getting 10 game a month.At most you can get 4 games a month.I am also from Massachusetts and it get it fro the Pittsburgh location.

The only other place I know of is Blockbuster, which includes games in its online rental service. I’m not sure if they have started doing it with games yet, though.
I also have Gamefly and I feel your pain. It used to be way worse. I had it in 2005 and it took about a week and a half to send and recieve a game. Then they only had one shipping place in California and I live in Massachusetts. They’ve gotten better as they’ve added a bunch more shipping places, but it does still take forever.

Does anyone have video game wholesale info? Preferrably playstaion games?
